Planning for a successful future is an important part of education and we therefore strive to provide a first class service for our students.

The Careers Centre, with its fully equipped library and state of the art specialist careers software, is open and staffed from 08.45 - 16.30 each school day to facilitate access to information and advice. During the lower sixth year the focus is on planning ahead for entry to Higher Education and making a successful application, while in the upper sixth students have the opportunity to attend practice interview sessions with visiting interviewers from industry and the universities.

Individual guidance is available to all sixth form students from the College Careers Advisor and we offer students access to an expansive range of careers experience and personal development courses. This enables you to gain an insight into work related fields and to develop personal and transferable skills. We have taster days for Law and Journalism and our optional sixth form work experience programme helps you to acquire the fundamental skills for job research and selection, application and interview. This is vital for anyone applying for courses in Law, Medicine, Veterinary Science, Physiotherapy and Management courses. There are strong links with the Armed Forces and their Liaison Officers who visit on a regular basis.
