The Arts play a vital role in school life

Music

Music plays a vital role throughout school life and is a dynamic and engaging department at the Junior School.  Music is made accessible to all pupils, whatever their abilities, whether being inspired for the first time or developing existing skills.

With plenty of performance opportunities, the pupils’ confidence is positively built.

From the harp to trombone, there is every opportunity to learn all sorts of instruments through individual lessons.

Drama

Drama plays a vital role in helping our pupils to gain confidence and to develop their imagination and communication skills.

There are a number of dramatic performances throughout the year. The Infants are all involved in a wonderful Nativity performance and a summer production.

At key points during their Junior years, year groups work together to perform various productions.

Assemblies and workshops also provide more opportunities for pupils to unleash their dramatic flair and build confidence.
