GCSE Examination Results 2026

Sometimes the best in their field appear to deliver prodigious feats with a natural flair or extraordinary ease.  Of course, when we pause to think, we remember that their success is almost always the product of intense and focused effort.

And so it would seem with this superlative set of GCSE results at Churcher’s College, produced by young people with great ability, but who have nevertheless worked hard for their rewards - and to dazzling effect! 

Aside from pandemic-affected grades, this talented year group has turned out Churcher's strongest ever results.  An astonishing four in five Grades are at 7 to 9 and well over half at the top two Grades 8 and 9.

How have they done it?  Inspired by their teachers, in a peer group with ambition, they have put in the hard work to achieve their best.  But anyone who knows Churcher’s will know that they have also spent a lot of time performing outside the classroom – whether on pitches or stages, canoes, horseback or mountainsides – diving into so many opportunities to grow and develop alongside their studies.

As GCSEs are good predictors of outcomes at A Level and beyond, this superb year group would appear to have a very bright future.  My colleagues and I are excited about the possibilities that lie ahead for them all, working with them to explore what they are capable of over the years ahead. 

For now, they can relax and reflect on their achievements – with our congratulations to them all!
