Celebrating National Hockey Championship Victory

Churcher’s pupils Romilly and Bea enjoyed a fantastic start to the summer, representing Hampshire at the National County Championships at Nottingham Hockey Centre.

Competing in the U15 competition against 11 other counties, Hampshire produced an outstanding unbeaten run across seven matches in three days of intense heat. They topped Group A with five wins and a remarkable 25-goal difference, defeating London, West Yorkshire, Lancashire, Cambridgeshire and Shropshire.

Hampshire then beat Kent 4-1 in the semi-final before facing Surrey in the final. Despite conceding their only goal of the tournament in the semi-final, the team remained unbeaten, securing a superb 2-0 victory over Surrey to claim the national title.
