Junior (Years 1-6) Entry

Churcher’s College Junior School offers an engaging and ambitious education for children aged 5 to 11. Pupils enjoy a rich and stimulating academic curriculum, supported by a strong pastoral system and an impressive range of opportunities beyond the classroom.

Admissions Steps & Timings

Years 1 & 2:

After registering, prospective Year 1 and Year 2 pupils are invited to a welcoming taster morning. During this visit, they will meet children in their current cohort and take part in lessons and activities, allowing them to experience a typical school day and gain a genuine feel for our community.

In an age-appropriate way, our teachers will assess your child’s progress in English and mathematics, helping us understand how best to support their learning and ensure a smooth transition.

We will request a copy of your child’s latest school report, and with your permission, a reference from their current school, to provide further insight into their academic progress, pastoral development, and overall well-being.

Once a place has been offered, your child will be invited to a settling-in day, giving them the chance to become familiar with their new classmates and surroundings before officially joining us.
