Thanks to fundraising efforts, pupils are very excited that the Parents' Association has funded the purchase of two new Dash robots (made by Wonder Workshop) along with some accessories to go with them.

These robots are a fantastic resource for making the link between programming and making things happen IRL (in real life). They are controlled by a series of apps which grow in complexity, allowing them to be used by all the children in school at an appropriate level, right the way from simple remote control in Nursery to Swift (IOS code) in Year 6. They are also great for cross-curricular links, especially with maths, where angles and distances can be programmed.

The added robots will mean a class can use them at a ratio of 3:1 and the new accessories purchased will allow the children to make music on a xylophone, and to draw the paths the robots take.
