A Duke of Edinburgh Volunteering Journey, by Amaan Noorani, aged 15:

As a part of my Duke of Edinburgh Voluntary work, I have been working with a charity, Action Through Enterprise, that works to reduce poverty in Lawra rural Ghana and runs a school meals programme providing school lunches to children that would otherwise go hungry.

I have spoken to some of the children and students to better understand what life is like in Lawra during this pandemic, and to compare these experiences to those of my own. As a result, I have written an article titled 'From Ghana to Godalming: A Democratic Disease' that documents my findings and tells the story. This makes up a part of Action Through Enterprise's content and marketing strategy. This article, over the past few days, has been shared on multiple websites and social platforms, creating significant awareness, developing a new audience for the charity, and raising new donations that are contributing towards hundreds of school lunches for children.
