December Equestrian Team Update

The Equestrian team have been working hard this year and the children (and their four legged friends) have had some fantastic results to show for it!

They’ve been training hard in challenging conditions, managing tired, grumpy parents and riding ponies whose attitudes can sometimes be somewhat ‘questionable.’ Dirt has been eaten, sweat has been sweated, tears have been cried (not just by the parents) but still the children got back up and carried on.

Churcher's College Equestrian Team

Team wins and strong placings in the NSEA qualifiers, as well as individual wins and placings for Maisie and Freya, meant that every member of the squad qualified for the Southeast Regional Finals this year - the pressure was on! Billed as the ‘ones to watch’ at the finals, the children all demonstrated their fantastic Team Churcher’s spirit and rode like little stars to take 4th in the Style class and Reserve Champions in the 60 speed class.

Maisie and Freya also kept up their impressive records and brought home some individual ribbons. We have been so proud of the positive, can-do attitudes and dedication the children have demonstrated again this year, each achieving impressive progression in their sport and some very well deserved results.

Well done Elsa, Freya, Ellis, Isla, Maisie, Finley, Clarke and Charlie!
