Six Medals for Team Forbes at Karate England Competition

Team Forbes were back in action at the Karate England Kyu Grade Competition last weekend.

The trio of Father, Matt (Head of Sport and Outdoor Learning at Churcher's Junior School and Nursery), older daughter, Evelyn (in the Second Year at Churcher's Senior School) and younger daughter, Rosalie (a Year 5 pupil at Churcher's Junior School and Nursery), won six medals, competing as part of a squad of five teammates taking part from their club.

Rosalie won gold in both kata (pattern of movement) and kumite (fighting), while Evelyn won gold in kata and bronze in kumite and Matt came away with a bronze in both kata and kumite. Overall, the team came away with 9 medals - a fantastic achievement as the result of hard work and team spirit.
