Year 6 Trip to PGL

Year 6 ventured to PGL Little Canada on the Isle of Wight for their residential trip in the first half of the Autumn Term. After an early start and a smooth crossing of the Solent, the children jumped straight into their first activity. Zip wire, archery, climbing, the big swing and laser quest were just some of the exciting challenges they experienced.
After dinner, the children competed in a night game called Find the Flag on the first evening and enjoyed singing and toasting marshmallows around the campfire on the second. A final morning of activities was followed by a visit to Osborne House, perfectly timed as the children are studying the Victorians in history. They took part in a workshop where they stepped into the roles of servants and were put through their paces by the indomitable Mrs Smith, before touring the house and gardens.
Year 6 thoroughly enjoyed their adventurous activities and night games, sleeping in cabins with their friends and sharing time together at mealtimes. Well done, Year 6!
