Churcher’s College First and Second Year girls have played exceptionally well to win the Lady Taverner's indoor cricket regional tournament at the famous Lords Cricket Ground.

Girls U13 Cricket Indoor Champions

Since 2003, the Lady Taverners Under 11, Under 13 and Under 15 girls' cricket competitions, run by the ECB, have given over 75,000 girls the opportunity to participate in cricket, many for the first time.

The UK's only national girls-only cricket competitions provide a vital pathway for grassroots girls' cricket, introducing participants to local clubs and development programmes. Almost half of the current England women’s squad have developed through the competitions, including Heather Knight, Anya Shrubsole and Sarah Taylor.

This outstanding result sets us up for the Summer and launches girls cricket at Churcher's College into another league as we go on to represent Hampshire in the next round of the National cup. Good luck to all the girls in the next round and well done on such an amazing achievement.
