An extraordinary training weekend took place in Dartmoor during the first weekend of March, pushing our teams of Forth Year and Lower Sixth students to their limits amidst a diverse array of weather challenges.

From heavy snow and sleet to wind, rain, and even moments of sunshine, the participants braved the elements while camping in freezing overnight temperatures. This rigorous environment not only tested their physical endurance but also their equipment, clothing, and determination to the fullest extent.

The students emerged from this demanding experience with a unique blend of exhaustion and exhilaration - describing the weekend as both "gruelling and so much fun," it is evident that the trials they encountered produced a huge amount of perseverance and resilience as well as fostering a sense of camaraderie and teamwork amongst them.

Weekends like this one are just what the Ten Tors challenge is about and this will be valuable preparation for the real thing!
