Churcher’s College art technician, Marnie Glue, recently unveiled her latest body of work, a moving and deeply personal exhibition entitled Revival, on display at Fareham Library from 25 October to 7 November.
The exhibition featured ten floral oil paintings, each one representing a stage in Marnie’s journey of healing and rediscovery following the end of a long-term relationship. Finding comfort in buying herself flowers, she began to paint them as a symbol of growth and transformation. Throughout the creative process, Marnie experimented with different techniques and colour palettes, using her art as both reflection and recovery.
Speaking about the collection, Marnie said, “It was so lovely to display my artwork in such a busy community space. I received some really kind comments about my paintings, and it was fantastic to conclude the creation of this project with such a relaxed exhibition.”
