Churcher’s College pupils, 13-year-old Lottie and 15 year old Kai Jackson, competed in the Swim England National Championships in Sheffield in August 2019.  The siblings both made the final with Kai coming 7th overall in the 200m Backstroke and Lottie 6th in the 100m Butterfly.

Lottie has now been selected to represent Surrey in the National County Team Championships taking place in October 2019. Learn more about this here: https://surreyswimming.org/?p=6516

A huge well done to both Lottie and Kai!

More about Lottie & Kai

Lottie and Kai, who train six days a week with Guildford City Swimming Club, take part in School galas and the English Secondary Schools Association National Relay Championships every year with Churcher’s College.

Both were 3 months old when they started swimming lessons; Kai’s main stroke is Backstroke while Lottie’s is Butterfly.

In 2018 they moved to Guildford City Swimming Club from Alton Swimming Club with a view to making the National Championships this year, which they have successfully achieved. They both train at least 14 hours a week.

They are now at the beginning of a new season, so the focus again this year will be qualifying and medalling at county and regional competitions, with a view to ultimately qualifying for the national age group competition again next summer.

This photo is from the recent National Inter Counties Competition. Lottie represented Surrey in the 100m Butterfly and as part of the Medley Relay.  Surrey came 10th overall, a great result swimming against some of the fastest swimmers in Britain!
