Lockheed Martin Code Quest

Each year, Lockheed Martin hosts Code Quest, an annual computer programming competition in which teams of students work together to solve problems through programming to complete the “quest”. The problem set consists of 20 to 30 challenging tasks created by Lockheed Martin engineers and computer programmers.
On Saturday 28th February, twelve Fourth Year, Fifth Year and Lower Sixth Computer Science students visited the Lockheed Martin office in Havant. The three teams put their coding and teamwork skills to the test, fuelled by a large quantity of high-energy snacks and drinks, as well as 150 pizzas!
The ‘Unhandled Exceptions’ team scored 150 points to claim an excellent fourth place in the novice category. Team ‘418 I'm a Teapot’ came seventh, and the Fourth Year team ‘Cache Me If You Can’ finished a commendable nineteenth. In the advanced category, the ‘Null Pointers’ team achieved an excellent eighth place.
Over 40 teams took part, so Team Churcher’s did the school proud!
