The London School of Economics’ entrepreneurship programme, called 'Generate', arrived at Churcher’s College on Friday 2 December.

The day centered around sessions in which LSE students and alumni were pitching for funding to help their start-up ventures and, if successful, to also receive expert advice and support as part of the funding package.

The applicants responded to questions from the judges panel as well as Churcher’s students; two of the latter were offered summer internships within the LSE Entrepreneurship School as a reward for the quality of their questioning!

Four of the socially-driven entrepreneurship start-ups were awarded £4,500 each, covering a range of projects from a high-tech textile recycling project (aiming to improve rates of recycling from the fast fashion industry, which currently creates a large amount of landfill waste) to a project for people with disabilities to settle more easily into life away from home when starting university.

The day was incredibly inspiring for all and we thank the LSE for hosting the event at Churcher's College.
