Transform Society Day

Lower Sixth students at Churcher’s College took part in the Transform Society Community Challenge, exploring ways to address the issue of homelessness in the local area. The day was led by James Darley, with guest speaker Sophia Rapley from Chichester-based charity Stonepillow, who shared her insights into the challenges faced by those without secure housing.

Working in teams, students were asked to devise and present action plans tackling the problem. The winning group impressed both in their creativity and in the passion behind their presentation, even taking the initiative to phone a local estate agent about repurposing a vacant industrial unit they had identified on Rightmove. Their proactive approach stood out, making their solution the strongest overall. Congratulations to all involved for their thoughtful and innovative contributions.
