Pupils Take Part in Charity Walk for MS Research

Two pupils from Churcher’s College joined their family on a 10km walk through central London to raise awareness and funds for Multiple Sclerosis (MS) research. The walk formed part of a wider community event supporting the MS Society, bringing together families, friends and those living with the condition.
The pupils took part alongside their mother, who was diagnosed with MS in 2016, and their father, who first signed the family up for the event. Close friends also joined the group, turning the day into a powerful show of solidarity and support.
Together, the family raised over £4,000, including Gift Aid. The money will help fund ground-breaking research such as the Octopus trial - a pioneering ‘multi-arm’ study that accelerates the pace of MS research by testing multiple treatments at once.
The walk not only raised vital funds but also shone a light on the challenges faced by people living with MS, a neurological disease that can affect mobility, vision, memory and emotional wellbeing. The family’s efforts highlighted the importance of research and the hope it offers for more effective treatments in the future.
