Futures Convention

On Thursday 5 March we held our annual Futures Convention, featuring over 65 stands, almost 100 exhibitors, and two brilliant talks. This year’s event focused on ‘Entrepreneurship’, chosen for its relevance in an ever-changing job market and its role in developing key skills such as problem-solving, resilience, and resourcefulness.
Alongside the fantastic range of careers on display, we hosted an Entrepreneurship Hub, where pupils and their parents had the opportunity to speak directly with business owners about their work and experiences. The event proved hugely popular, with over 500 pupils, parents, and siblings attending throughout the evening.
Away from the buzz of the exhibition hall, we welcomed two superb speakers. Callum Russell from Independent Gap Advice offered insightful guidance on ‘Curating a Meaningful Gap Year’, followed by Dr Daniel Stewart, co-founder and CEO ofViridi, an innovation-driven start-up, who delivered the keynote speech, ‘Building a Business and Changing the World’.
We are extremely grateful to all our exhibitors and speakers for their time, energy, and enthusiasm. The evening was a resounding success.
