The Spring Term has been an exciting one for Churcher’s College equestrian teams.
At the British Showjumping ‘Just for Schools’ Winter Championships in Wales, riders from the Third and Fourth Years were placed in the 80cm and 90cm classes. Both riders achieved additional placings in other classes, an outstanding national achievement!
At Coombelands, strong performances came from our Second Years, with one qualifying for the Grass Roots Championship Festival at Hickstead in August.
Not to be outdone, one Third Year also qualified for Hickstead in May, after finishing fourth in the 1m Eventer’s Challenge, with a Second Year student coming a respectable eighth at the same event.
In an exciting first for Churcher’s, three First Year students will compete as a dressage team at the Hampshire dressage qualifiers at Parwood. We wish them and all our equestrians the best of luck.
