Last December, our Third Year pupils enjoyed a lively and laughter-filled French theatre performance with a return visit from Onatti, the theatre company specialising in language learning through drama.

The play, RSVP, followed two young people attempting to organise a so-called “forever party,” navigating the tricky question of whether or not to invite their parents. Packed with humour and supported by enthusiastic audience participation, the performance kept pupils fully engaged while challenging them to catch the nuances of spoken French in real time.

As well as being great fun, the production gave students a real confidence boost, helping them realise just how much French they can already understand. Merci to Onatti, and to our brilliant Churcher’s pupils who stepped up as improvised French actors and actresses, making the experience even more memorable for everyone involved.
