In the first week of the spring term Dr Verney ran online talks for students and parents to introduce the Oxbridge and Medical programmes. It was wonderful to have Dr Sebastian Dows-Miller (16) co-host the Oxbridge talk. Seb is a Research Fellow in Medieval French at UCL, having previously been a lecturer at various Oxford colleges, where he also ran undergraduate interviews from 2022–2024. Mr Lewis Jordan (16) joined Dr Verney the next evening to co-host the Medical Programme talk. Lewis was on the Medical Programme himself just a few years ago and is now in his 3rd year reading Medicine at Oxford. Everyone benefitted from the additional insight and depth that Seb and Lewis added to the talks and our students and parents really enjoyed hearing from OCs to whom they relate well, and who are knowledgeable about the application processes for these highly competitive courses.

Seb and Lewis are also part of the OC team who help with mock interviews and other support, advice and guidance for our competitive course applicants.
