Five Churcher’s College students are very proud of have won the Lockheed Martin CyberQuest competition where teams of 2-5 secondary school students work together to solve ‘offense and defensive cyber challenges’ in a capture the flag format to complete the ‘quest.’

The competition took place during Autumn half-term 2018 at a number of locations around the world, including Whiteley in the UK for which the Churcher’s College Computing Department entered a team of five students - Sam Mearns, Josh Coates, Tom Milner, Elliot Dewdney and Oliver Fogelin.

The team won by an impressive margin with a total of 345 points - the runners up only achieving 294 points!

The competition involved a variety of challenges centering around cryptography and cyber-security with an extremely high level of difficulty. Additionally, several of the Churcher’s College team were part of the winning team for the Lockheed Martin CodeQuest competition which took place earlier this year.

Well done to all the pupils who took part!
